DATE SPAN: 01/01/1820 - 12/28/1842
DESCRIPTION: A statement of conditions for students entering Georgetown--what they must bring--and the tuition, in gourdes (Haitian currency); a dun to a father in New Iberia, LA, for $449; letter to John Roach of Alexandria, from Italy; letter to Henry Daingerfield in Alexandria with a good description of a cancer.
DATE SPAN: 01/01/1818 - 12/31/1831
DESCRIPTION: Contains three, small, bound notebooks: a diary, 1820-1827; a spiritual diary, 1818-1824, 1831; a notebook, "De Metaphisica," of notes taken from lectures given by Prof. De Theux.
DATE SPAN: 07/05/1825 - 10/12/1826
DESCRIPTION: This is the first of a series of five identical Georgetown letterbooks in the Feiner Papers. Largely provide resumes of letters sent, many of which were to parents and guardians asking for payment of student fees.
DATE SPAN: 10/14/1826 - 03/26/1827
DESCRIPTION: Similar to preceding, except entirely in Feiner's hand. Indexed in front.
DATE SPAN: 04/01/1827 - 11/24/1827
DESCRIPTION: Similar to preceding. Indexed in front. This is, in effect, a series of drafts of letters. Feiner, because he did not write English as a first language, or for other reasons, scratched out many lines before arriving at the final version.
DATE SPAN: 12/14/1827 - 12/12/1828
DESCRIPTION: Similar to preceding. Indexed in front. As before, Louisiana students figure prominently.
DATE SPAN: 10/03/1828 - 11/29/1829
DESCRIPTION: Similar to preceding. The book is not filled and not indexed. The last four pages are in a different hand, someone writing explicitly on Feiner's behalf. In the fall of 1828 the College decided to change the charges for students', "conditions" or "Prospectus." The overall fixed sum was lowered to $150, but clothes were no longer included in the flat rate, but were to be charged according to the quantity drawn.
DATE SPAN: 10/05/1826 - 06/12/1828
DESCRIPTION: A few letters, several of which seem to be drafts of the type generally included in the letterbooks, but not included there.
